I believe that the web should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities or the technology they use. This site has been built with accessibility as a core principle, and I’m committed to maintaining and improving its accessibility over time.

Visual design

WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliant color contrast — All text meets minimum contrast ratios (at least 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
Dark and light mode support — Choose your preferred color scheme based on your needs and preferences
Readable typography — The site uses Commissioner (body text) and Fraunces (headings), both designed for clarity and readability across all users, including those with dyslexia or low vision
Sufficient spacing and sizing — Text, buttons, and interactive elements are sized and spaced for easy interaction and reading

Navigation and interaction

Keyboard navigation — All interactive elements are fully navigable using only the keyboard (Tab, Enter, Escape keys)
Visible focus indicators — When using keyboard navigation, focused elements are clearly indicated with visible borders or outlines
Semantic HTML — The site uses proper heading hierarchy and semantic elements for better screen reader navigation
Descriptive link text — Links use clear, descriptive text that makes sense out of context
Form accessibility — Contact forms include associated labels and clear instructions

Content and media

Alternative text for images — All informative images include descriptive alt text for screen reader users
Video captions — External video content includes captions where available
Table of contents — Blog posts include a navigable table of contents for easier browsing

Technical standards

Mobile responsive — The site works well on all screen sizes from phones to large displays
Screen reader compatible — Built with semantic HTML and ARIA labels where needed for assistive technology users
Performance — Fast loading times benefit all users, especially those on slower connections or mobile networks

Known limitations and ongoing improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing practice, not a destination. While I’ve built this site with accessibility in mind, there may be areas for improvement. I regularly audit the site using:
